MFC 25 in Nowe Miasteczko: Results and event summary
The 25th Makowski Fighting Championship gala took place in Nowe Miasteczko, the hometown of the promotion's founder Tomasz Makowski. The event featured 12 muay thai and K1 bouts, including two title fights.
In the main event, Michał Gołębiowski defended his MFC 60 kg championship title. The Maku Gym Nowe Miasteczko fighter knocked out Lithuania's Karolis Mitašiūnas in the opening round with a high kick, marking his third successful title defense.
The vacant Polish Professional Muay Thai Federation title (57 kg) went the full five-round distance. Szymon Socha defeated Bartosz Kotas via split decision. Socha secured the belt despite fighting with a severe cut above his eye since the first round.
The single women's bout on the card saw Patrycja Wiśniewska defeat Magdalena Szot on points. Despite a bad cut that impaired her vision, Wiśniewska rallied back in the third round to secure the win.
Injuries cut two main card fights short for the local fighters. Dawid Ciszka lost to Daniel Wąsik in the second round following a jaw injury, while Jordan Puciata had to stop his fight against Mikołaj Kucharski in the first round due to a suspected broken hand.
In other main card action, Filip Marek defeated Rafał Kula by decision, and Dawid Rożak won a unanimous decision over pro-debuting Wojciech Kaczkowski.
