Michał Gołębiowski knocks out opponent in round one at MFC 25
Michał Gołębiowski defended his MFC championship belt during the gala in Nowe Miasteczko. The local fighter finished the main event in the very first round.
The MFC championship belt defense in the K1 formula (60 kg category) took place at the MFC 25 gala. Michał Gołębiowski faced Lithuania's Karolis Mitašiūnas in the main event. The bout was scheduled for five rounds but ended much earlier.
Gołębiowski controlled the fight from the opening seconds, stopping his opponent's attacks with calf kicks. In the first round, the Polish fighter capitalized on the Lithuanian dropping his guard and landed a left high kick to the head. Mitašiūnas was knocked out, ending the fight immediately.
This victory marks the third successful MFC title defense for Michał Gołębiowski. After the bout, the champion noted that executing the tactical plan and maintaining distance were key to winning. Coach Tomasz Makowski emphasized his fighter's mature approach to the match. The result strengthens Gołębiowski's position in this weight class.
