Szymon Socha wins the PZMT pro Polish championship title at MFC 25

Szymon Socha became the new PZMT pro Polish champion in the 57 kg category. The fighter representing Żarski Klub Sportów Walki defeated Bartosz Kotas in a five-round bout at the MFC 25 gala in Nowe Miasteczko.

The PZMT pro Polish championship title bout in the 57 kg weight class took place at the 25th Makowski Fighting Championship gala in Nowe Miasteczko. The fight was scheduled for five three-minute rounds. It featured 17-year-old Bartosz Kotas from Fight Academy Dobra against Szymon Socha from Żarski Klub Sportów Walki.

The match opened at a high pace. Socha performed better initially, but Kotas caused a severe cut over Socha's left eyebrow late in the first round. Following treatment by cutman Gracjan Lipiec, the fight continued, with Kotas targeting the injured eye area in the second round, forcing Socha to defend and counterattack.

By the third round, Socha began regaining control despite impaired vision. He utilized front kicks to the face and low kicks to Kotas's lead leg, slowing his opponent down. Both exhausted fighters traded strikes through the final rounds. After five rounds, the judges awarded a split decision victory to Socha, making him the new PZMT pro Polish champion. This win is also marked as a success for coach Dawid Polok's club in Żary.
